Rudy's Story 🙌

“I joined ECA to stay active. As an older adult, I knew the importance of being active to maintain good health. I had always done endurance exercise, mainly cycling, but it was getting harder to get out and ride or to find companions to ride with. I was losing interest. I joined ECA in July. ECA is convenient for me, and I find the Champions classes challenging and fun. It is easier for me to stay motivated if activities are enjoyable. After class I'm tired but also feel great.

So far, my physical results have been noticeable. They include better posture, improved muscle tone, and ease of movement. I've also noticed good changes to my well-being. I get better sleep, I have more energy, and I feel happier. Increasing weight and better form on the exercises are small but encouraging fitness achievements for me. After running the dreaded 400-meter x4 Coach Jack told us, “You just ran a mile". Wow, a first for me.

I try to attend Champions classes 4 or 5 days a week. Also, the monthly seminars led by the Coaches are helpful. I'm enrolled in Squatober and am learning barbell techniques. I currently do the Champions classes at the fitness level. One of my goals is to add some performance-level classes.

I would recommend ECA and Champions Training to anyone looking to improve their fitness and quality of life. The classes are well-planned and challenging for all fitness levels. You will be in classes with outstanding coaches and friendly and encouraging classmates!”

Cynthia's Story! 🙌

"As a busy real estate agent and mom who turned 50 this year, I am constantly on the run, and I noticed I was not taking care of myself. I wanted to take ownership of my health and well-being, so I decided to join ECA. The proximity to home, the Champions Training classes, the coaches, and the community atmosphere made it very appealing.

I have learned what works and what doesn't work for me over the years. I made a commitment to myself to come in for Champions Training classes 2-4 times a week. On the other days, my goal is to walk and get steps. I’ve had several non-scale victories since joining—I feel stronger, I have more energy, I’m less lethargic, it’s easier to walk up hills, I squatted 115 lbs., and my clothes fit looser. I also have lost about 13 lbs. I FINALLY accepted that this is the long game and that being healthy takes time! My current fitness goal is to continue getting stronger, building muscle, losing body fat, and feeling good!

If someone asked me why they should join ECA, I would tell them the feeling you get after you finish a Champions Training class is the best feeling in the world! No matter how hard, tough, or seemingly impossible it is, you will get through it, and you will feel good. The coaches are truly amazing and work with you where you are at. They push you to work hard but don't yell at you like it's a boot camp. I've worked out in many places, and ECA is excellent!"

Meet Stephanie, ECA's Fitness Director! 👋

"Hi, I'm Stephanie! My initial passion for fitness came from the confidence it gave me at a young age. I grew up in Boise, Idaho where I played soccer, competed in track and field, and graduated from the University of Idaho with a bachelor’s degree in biology. I also achieved a CrossFit L1 Certification.

I love my job as fitness director at ECA because I get to connect with people and become a part of their fitness journey by encouraging them and equipping them to be successful in achieving their goals.

When I'm not at one of the clubs, you can usually find me spending time with Millie, my Golden Retriever. She's my favorite!" 😊
